Daily Encouragement Day 154 – Psalm 139

There is no higher calling than to love and worship the infinite and personal God of creation and redemption.  In complete contrast to the world, God’s economy measures greatness not in terms of ability or accomplishments, but in the vitality and integrity of a person’s walk with the Lord.  This meditation on the Person and works of God reveals the depth of David’s relationship with God.  Its four stanzas are reflections on the attributes of God: God is all-knowing (verses 1-6), all-present (verses 7-12), all-powerful (verses 13-18), and all-holy (verses 19-24).  God knows us intimately and is present with us in any adversity we face.
