Daily Prayer Day 112

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

Surely the Lord’s hand is not too short to save,
Nor His ear too dull to hear.
But our iniquities have separated us from our God;
Our sins have hidden His face from us, so that He will not hear.
Yet the Lord saw that there was no one to intervene;
So His own arm worked salvation for Him,
And His righteousness sustained Him.
He put on righteousness as His breastplate,
And the helmet of salvation on His head;
He put on the garments of vengeance
And wrapped Himself in zeal as a cloak.
From the west, men will fear the name of the Lord,
And from the rising of the sun, they will revere His glory.
For He will come like a flood
That the breath of the Lord drives along.  (Isaiah 59:1-2, 16-19)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord of hosts will be exalted in judgment, and the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.  (Isaiah 5:16)

God is able to do immeasurably more than all that we ask or think, according to His power that is at work within us.  To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever.  (Ephesians 3:20-21)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

The hour is coming and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.  (John 4:23-24)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

A virtuous wife is the crown of her husband, but she who causes shame is like decay in his bones.  (Proverbs 12:4)

Who can find a virtuous wife?  She is worth far more than jewels.  The heart of her husband trusts in her so that he has no lack of gain.  She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.  (Proverbs 31:10-12)

Lord, I thank You for Your holiness and for Your power to do immeasurably more than all that I ask or think.  I thank You for calling me to worship You in spirit and truth, and I ask that I would be virtuous in my relationships with others.
