Daily Prayer Day 115

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

May I not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove that the will of God is good and acceptable and perfect.  (Romans 12:2)

May the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give me a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the full knowledge of Him, and may the eyes of my heart be enlightened, in order that I may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe.  (Ephesians 1:17-19)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.  (2 Corinthians 1:3)

Christ had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.  Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.  (Hebrews 2:17-18)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.  The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.  (Romans 8:5-6)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

A prudent man sees evil and hides himself, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.  (Proverbs 22:3; 27:12)

A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in airing his own opinions.  (Proverbs 18:2)

Lord, I thank You that You are the Father of mercies and that Christ is my merciful and faithful high priest.  I ask that I would live according to the Spirit and that I would avoid evil and seek understanding.
