Daily Prayer Day 120

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord.
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Both now and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
The name of the Lord is to be praised.
The Lord is high above all nations,
His glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
The One who is enthroned on high,
Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?  (Psalm 113:1-6)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.  (Psalm 92:15)

You are the Lord our God, who brought Your people out of Egypt so that they would no longer be their slaves; You broke the bars of their yoke and enabled them to walk with heads held high.  (Leviticus 26:13)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Whoever wishes to become great among others must become their servant, and whoever wishes to be first among them must be their slave.  (Matthew 20:26-27; Mark 10:43-44)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will not withhold discipline from a child; if I strike him with the rod, he will not die.  (Proverbs 23:13)

A fool despises his father’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction is prudent.  (Proverbs 15:5)

Lord, I thank You that there is no unrighteousness in You and that You enabled Your people to walk with heads held high.  I ask that I would be a servant of others and that I would nurture them in Your truth.
