Daily Prayer Day 121

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

"For a brief moment I forsook you,
But with great compassion I will gather you.
In a flood of anger I hid My face from you for a moment,
But I will have compassion on you with everlasting kindness,"
Says the Lord your Redeemer.  (Isaiah 54:7-8)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Your lovingkindness, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies.  Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like a great deep.  O Lord, You preserve man and beast.  How priceless is Your lovingkindness, O God!  The children of men find refuge in the shadow of Your wings.  For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.  (Psalm 36:5-7, 9)

The eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.  (2 Chronicles 16:9)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

By Your grace, I want to hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.  Enter into the joy of your Lord."  (Matthew 25:21)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Who makes me different from anyone else?  And what do I have that I did not receive?  And if I did receive it, why I should I boast as though I had not received it?  (1 Corinthians 4:7)

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.  (Matthew 23:12; Luke 14:11; 18:14)

Lord, I thank You for Your lovingkindness and faithfulness and for strengthening those whose hearts are committed to You.  I ask that I would be a good and faithful servant and that I would acknowledge that all things come from You.
