Daily Prayer Day 131

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Therefore, I will pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers into His harvest.  (Matthew 9:37-38; Luke 10:2)

You have called us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything You have commanded us.  And surely You are with us always, even to the end of the age.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

My days are like a lengthened shadow, and I wither away like grass.  But You, O Lord, will endure forever, and the remembrance of Your name to all generations.  Of old, You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.  They will perish, but You will endure; they will all wear out like a garment.  Like clothing, You will change them, and they will be discarded.  But You are the same, and Your years will have no end.  (Psalm 102:11-12, 25-27)

Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!  Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!  (Luke 19:38)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope."  (Jeremiah 29:11)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I shall not covet my neighbor’s house, my neighbor’s wife, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to my neighbor.  (Exodus 20:17; Deuteronomy 5:21)

I was called to freedom, but I will not use my freedom to indulge the flesh, but through love I will serve others.  For the whole law is summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  (Galatians 5:13-14)

Lord, I thank You that You endure forever and that the Lord Jesus is the King who came in Your name.  I thank You for Your plans to give me a future and a hope, and I ask that I would not be covetous or indulge the flesh, but that I would serve others in love.
