Daily Prayer Day 145

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

The Lord Jesus prayed these words for the unity of all who would believe in Him: "I ask that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You, that they also may be in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in one, that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them, even as You have loved Me."  (John 17:21-23)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!  You have set Your glory above the heavens!  (Psalm 8:1)

The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness, since what may be known about God is manifest in them, because God has manifested it to them.  (Romans 1:18-19)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.  The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.  (Psalm 37:39-40)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will stay away from a foolish man, for I will not find knowledge on his lips.  (Proverbs 14:7)

I will not hate my brother in my heart, but I will reprove my neighbor frankly and not incur sin because of him.  (Leviticus 19:17)

Lord, I thank You that You have revealed Your majesty and glory to all people through Your created order.  I thank You for Your salvation and deliverance, and I ask that I would avoid corrupting influences and speak the truth in love.
