Daily Prayer Day 15

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

Are You a God nearby,
And not a God far away?
Can anyone hide in secret places
So that You cannot see him?
Do You not fill heaven and earth?  (Jeremiah 23:23-24)

God is jealous and the Lord avenges;
The Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath.
The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries,
And He reserves wrath against His enemies.
The Lord is slow to anger and great in power
And will not leave the guilty unpunished.
His way is in the whirlwind and the storm,
And clouds are the dust of His feet.  (Nahum 1:2-3)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Son of Man will come with the clouds of heaven.  In the presence of the Ancient of Days, He will be given dominion and glory and a kingdom, so that all peoples, nations, and men of every language will worship Him.  His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.  (Daniel 7:13-14)

We are looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good works.  (Titus 2:13-14)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

The Spirit helps me in my weakness, for I do not know what I ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for me with groans that words cannot express.  And He who searches the hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.  (Romans 8:26-27)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will not strive with a man without cause, if he has done me no harm.  (Proverbs 3:30)

As one who has been chosen of God, holy and beloved, I will put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with others and forgiving others even as the Lord forgave me; and above all these things, I will put on love, which is the bond of perfection.  (Colossians 3:12-14)

Lord, I thank You for the universal dominion of Jesus Christ and for the hope of His glorious coming.  I thank You for the ministry of Your Holy Spirit, and I ask that I would be compassionate and forgiving toward others.
