Daily Prayer Day 169

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

The Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and joy are in His place.
I will ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
I will ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name
And worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Tremble before him, all the earth.
The world is firmly established, it will not be moved.  (1 Chronicles 16:25-30)

You are the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac.  (Genesis 31:42)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope:  The Lord’s mercies never cease, for His compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  (Lamentations 3:21-23)

The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.  (Habakkuk 2:14)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Whoever acknowledges You before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.  But he who disowns You before men will be denied before the angels of God.  (Luke 12:8-9)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Fathers should not provoke their children to wrath but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.  (Ephesians 6:4)

Fathers should not provoke their children, or they will become discouraged.  (Colossians 3:21)

Lord, I thank You for Your compassions and for Your great faithfulness.  I pray that I would acknowledge You before others, and I ask that I would fulfill my responsibilities to instruct others in Your truth.
