Daily Prayer Day 20

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

You will honor those who honor You, but those who despise You will be disdained.  (1 Samuel 2:30)

The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness.  (1 Samuel 26:23)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea and all that is in them, will sing: "To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!"  (Revelation 5:13)

The Lord God of hosts—He who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn; He who builds His staircase in the heavens and founded the expanse over the earth; He who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the earth—the Lord is His name.  (Amos 9:5-6)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

As the Father has loved You, You also have loved me.  I must abide in Your love.  If I keep Your commandments, I will abide in Your love, just as You kept Your Father’s commandments and abide in His love.  You have told me this so that Your joy may be in me and that my joy may be full.  (John 15:9-11)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will guard my heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life.  (Proverbs 4:23)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.  (Proverbs 9:10)

Lord, I thank You for Your surpassing loftiness and for Your dominion over the cosmos.  I thank You for loving me in Christ Jesus, and I ask that I would guard my heart and know You better.
