Daily Prayer Day 23

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

O Lord, be gracious to me;
Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.  (Psalm 41:4)

Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He instructs sinners in His ways. 
The Lord guides the humble in what is right
And teaches the humble His way.  (Psalm 25:8-9)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

You have chosen me as Your witness and servant so that I may know and believe You and understand that You are the Lord.  Before You no God was formed, nor will there be one after You.  (Isaiah 43:10)

You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas; You formed the mountains by Your strength, having armed Yourself with power; and You stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.  (Psalm 65:5-7)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, and make known to others what He has done.  I will sing to Him, sing praises to Him, and tell of all His wonderful acts.  (1 Chronicles 16:8-9)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Like the Bereans, I want the nobility of mind to receive the word with great eagerness and to examine the Scriptures daily.  (Acts 17:11)

Love is as strong as death, and jealousy is as cruel as the grave; its flames are flames of fire, a flame of the Lord.  Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers overflow it.  If a man were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned.  (Song of Solomon 8:6-7)

Lord, I thank You for choosing me and for Your awesome deeds of righteousness.  I thank You for Your wonderful acts, and I ask that I would be eager to respond to Your word and to walk in love.
