Daily Prayer Day 280

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

I will declare Your name to my brothers;
In the midst of the congregation I will praise You.
You who fear the Lord, praise Him!
All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him!
Stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel!
For He has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one;
Nor has He hidden His face from him,
But has listened to his cry for help.  (Psalm 22:22-24)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Whatever the Lord pleases He does, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.  (Psalm 135:6)

The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food.  They will neither harm nor destroy in all Your holy mountain.  (Isaiah 65:25)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord.  Blessed are those who keep His testimonies and seek Him with all their heart.  (Psalm 119:1-2)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

You have called the humble of the earth who have upheld Your justice to seek the Lord, to seek righteousness, and to seek humility.  (Zephaniah 2:3)

I will not trust in myself or in my own righteousness, nor will I view others with contempt.  (Luke 18:9)

Lord, I thank You that nothing can thwart Your purposes and that You will fulfill Your promise to restore all things.  I pray that I would seek You with all my heart, and I ask that I would practice humility instead of self-righteousness.
