Daily Prayer Day 349

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

Now listen to me, O sons,
For blessed are those who keep my ways.
Hear instruction and be wise;
Do not refuse it.
Blessed is the man who listens to wisdom,
Watching daily at her gates, waiting at her doorposts.
For whoever finds wisdom finds life
And obtains favor from the Lord.
But he who sins against her injures his own soul;
All who hate her love death.  (Proverbs 8:32-36)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The  Lord’s lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever.  Praise the Lord!  (Psalm 117:2)

Those who show contempt for the riches of God’s kindness, forbearance, and patience do not realize that the kindness of God leads toward repentance.  (Romans 2:4)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will sing praises to the Lord and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.  For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.  (Psalm 30:4-5)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Your commandments will be upon my heart, and I will teach them diligently to my children and talk about them when I sit in my house and when I walk along the way and when I lie down and when I rise up.  (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.  (Proverbs 13:1)

Lord, I thank You for Your great lovingkindness and truth and for the riches of Your forbearance and patience.  I pray for the joy of Your favor, and I ask that I would internalize Your commandments and teach them to others.
