Daily Prayer Day 41

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

I will cast my burden on the Lord and He will sustain me;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.  (Psalm 55:22)

You preserve my life, and I am devoted to You.  You are my God; You will save Your servant who trusts in You.  (Psalm 86:2)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

God is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of Lords, who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see.  To Him be honor and eternal dominion.  (1 Timothy 6:15b-16)

You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.  You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.  (Revelation 5:9-10)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

If I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved.  For it is with my heart that I believe unto righteousness, and it is with my mouth that I confess unto salvation.  As the Scripture says, "Whoever trusts in Him will not be put to shame."  (Romans 10:9-11)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.  With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing, and this should not be.  (James 3:7-10)

We should all be of one mind and be sympathetic, loving as brothers, compassionate, and humble.  (1 Peter 3:8)

Lord, I thank You for Your majesty and for the saving work of Your Son.  I thank You that I have confessed the Lord Jesus with my mouth, and I ask for the power to restrain my tongue and to be compassionate to others.
