Daily Prayer Day 5

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Since we were called into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, all of us should agree with one another, so that there may be no divisions among us, and that we may be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.  (1 Corinthians 1:9-10)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Almighty is beyond our reach; He is exalted in power and in His justice and great righteousness, He does not oppress.  (Job 37:23)

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You care for him?  You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.  You made him ruler over the works of Your hands, and You put everything under his feet.  (Psalm 8:3-6)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

The God of all grace, who called me to His eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish me.  (1 Peter 5:10)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

You have shown me what is good; and what does the Lord require of me but to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with my God?  (Micah 6:8)

You have given us a new commandment to love one another even as You have loved us; so we must love one another.  By this all men will know that we are Your disciples, if we have love for one another.  (John 13:34)

Lord, I thank You for Your awesome majesty and creative power.  I thank You that You will perfect me in Christ Jesus, and I ask that I would demonstrate mercy and love to others.
