Daily Prayer Day 50

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

You are the high and lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is holy.
You live in a high and holy place
But also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
To revive the spirit of the lowly
And to revive the heart of the contrite.  (Isaiah 57:15)

The multitudes who went before Jesus and those who followed shouted,
"Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!"  (Matthew 21:9)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.  (2 Peter 3:8)

The Son of Man went up to Jerusalem where He was delivered to the chief priests and to the scribes.  They condemned Him to death and handed Him over to the Gentiles, who mocked Him and spat upon Him, and scourged Him and killed Him.  But on the third day He rose again.  (Mark 10:33-34)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I am committed to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build me up and give me an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.  (Acts 20:32)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise.  He who refuses instruction despises himself, but he who heeds correction gains understanding.  (Proverbs 15:31-32)

I will not judge my brother or regard him with contempt.  Instead of judging him, I will resolve not to put a stumbling block or obstacle in my brother’s way.  (Romans 14:10a, 13)

Lord, I thank You that You are not bound by the limits of time and that Jesus suffered for me.  I thank You for giving me an inheritance, and I ask that I would respond to correction and that You would keep me from hindering others.
