Daily Prayer Day 74

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.

I lift up my eyes to You,
To You who dwell in heaven. 
As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master,
As the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress,
So my eyes look to the Lord my God,
Until He shows me His mercy.  (Psalm 123:1-2)

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord will be gracious to whom He will be gracious, and He will have compassion on whom He will have compassion.  (Exodus 33:19)

The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.  The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food at the proper time.  You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.  (Psalm 145:14-16)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul will be joyful in my God.  For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.  (Isaiah 61:10)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.  (Proverbs 13:24)

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.  (Proverbs 22:15)

Lord, I thank You for Your graciousness and for Your loving provision.  I thank You for the gift of Your righteousness, and I ask for the strength to nurture others in the way of Christ.
