Daily Scripture Moral Integrity and Honesty: Part 5

I desire to have a clear conscience and to live honorably in all things.  (Hebrews 13:18)

I will not say when I am tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone.  But each one is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own lust.  Then, after lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.  (James 1:13-15)

I will put away all filthiness and the overflow of wickedness, and in meekness I will accept the word planted in me, which is able to save my soul.  (James 1:21)

I have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.  Therefore, I will put away all malice and all guile and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.  (1 Peter 1:23; 2:1)

As an alien and a stranger in the world, I will abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against my soul.  (1 Peter 2:11)
