Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but through faith in Christ Jesus, I have believed in Christ Jesus, that I may be justified through faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified. (Galatians 2:16)

If righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing. (Galatians 2:21)

Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous will live by faith.” (Galatians 3:11)

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” (Galatians 3:13)
