Daily Scripture Prayers of Confession: Part 6

The eyes of the Lord are everywhere,
Keeping watch on the evil and the good.  (Proverbs 15:3)

Death and Destruction lie open before the Lord;
How much more the hearts of men!  (Proverbs 15:11)

All a man’s ways are pure in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the motives.  (Proverbs 16:2)

Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall.  (Proverbs 16:18)

The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But the Lord tests the hearts.  (Proverbs 17:3)

Before his downfall the heart of a man is haughty,
But humility comes before honor.  (Proverbs 18:12)

The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord,
Searching the inward depths of his being.  (Proverbs 20:27)

All a man’s ways are right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts.  (Proverbs 21:2)

There is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good
And never sins.  (Ecclesiastes 7:20)

"Come now, let us reason together,"
Says the Lord. 
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red as crimson,
They shall be like wool."  (Isaiah 1:18)
