Daily Scripture Prayers of Petition: Part 19

Above all, give me a fervent love for others, because love covers a multitude of sins.  (1 Peter 4:8)

May I be hospitable to others without grumbling.  (1 Peter 4:9)

May I humble myself under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt me in due time, casting all my anxiety upon Him, because He cares for me.  (1 Peter 5:6-7)

May I not love the world or the things in the world.  If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but of the world.  And the world and its lusts are passing away, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.  (1 John 2:15-17)

Little children, keep yourselves from idols.  (1 John 5:21)

May I continue to walk in the truth and take pleasure when others do the same.  (3 John 3-4)

May I not imitate what is evil but what is good.  The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.  (3 John 11)

May I never leave my first love.  (Revelation 2:4)
