Daily Scripture Prayers of Renewal: Part 7

May I remove the places of idolatry from my life, and like Asa, let my heart be fully committed to God all my days.  (2 Chronicles 15:17)

Like Jehoshaphat, let my heart take delight in the ways of the Lord and remove the places of idolatry from my life.  (2 Chronicles 17:6)

May I let the fear of the Lord be upon me, and be careful in what I do, for with the Lord my God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.  (2 Chronicles 19:7)

May I act in the fear of the Lord, faithfully and with a loyal heart.  (2 Chronicles 19:9)

May I not transgress the commandments of the Lord, for I cannot prosper in disobedience.  May I not forsake the Lord.  (2 Chronicles 24:20)

When Uzziah became strong, his heart became proud and he acted corruptly, and he transgressed against the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.  (2 Chronicles 26:16)

Like Hezekiah, may I do what is good and right and true before the Lord my God by seeking Him with all my heart.  (2 Chronicles 31:20-21)

Hezekiah’s heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the Lord’s wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.  (2 Chronicles 32:25)

Like Josiah, may I do what is right in the sight of the Lord, walking in the ways of David and not turning aside to the right or to the left.  (2 Chronicles 34:1-2)  

Like Josiah, give me a tender and responsive heart, so that I will humble myself before You when I hear Your word.  (2 Chronicles 34:27)
