Daily Scripture Redemption: Part 14

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.  The words Jesus spoke are spirit and are life.  (John 6:63)

Never did a man speak the way Jesus did.  (John 7:46)

Jesus told His opponents, “You are from below; I am from above.  You are of this world; I am not of this world.  I told you, therefore, that you would die in your sins, for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”  (John 8:23-24)

Jesus told His opponents, “You are of your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire.  He was a murderer from the beginning and did not stand in the truth, for there is no truth in him.  When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.”  (John 8:44-45)

While Jesus was in the world, He was the light of the world.  For judgment He came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.  (John 9:5, 39)

He who enters by the door is the shepherd of his sheep.  To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep listen to his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.  When he brings out his own, he goes before them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.  And they will never follow a stranger but will run away from him because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.  Jesus used this figure of speech, but His hearers did not understand what He was telling them.  Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth: I am the door of the sheep.  All who came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.  I am the good Shepherd; the good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.  I am the good Shepherd; I know My sheep and My sheep know Me—just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father—and I lay down My life for the sheep.”  (John 10:2-8, 11, 14-15)

Jesus said, “My Father loves Me because I lay down My life that I may take it up again.  No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord.  I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.  This command I received from My Father.”  (John 10:17-18)

Jesus said to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.”  (John 11:25-26)

The Lord said, “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not stay in darkness.  And if anyone hears My words but does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.”  (John 12:46-47)

When Judas went out to betray Him, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him.  If God is glorified in Him, God will glorify the Son in Himself and will glorify Him immediately.”  (John 13:31-32)
