From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 110 (Promises)
God is the ever-present and all-sufficient
Savior and deliverer of all who take refuge in Him.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock; I will take refuge in Him,
my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold and my refuge—my Savior,
You save me from violence.
I call on the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.
(2 Samuel 22:2–4)
Lord God, You alone are my hope and shield and place of refuge. I have entered into Your stronghold and in that quiet place I discover Your presence, peace, and power in spite of the uncertainties and tempests of this earthly life. I will call upon You and give You praise, for You alone are worthy. Amen
