From Handbook to Wisdom

Lord, I praise you because …

You will treasure Your servants forever.

There will no longer be any curse.
The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the new Jerusalem,
and His servants will serve Him.
They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
And there will be no night there;
they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun,
for the Lord God will give them light.
And they shall reign for ever and ever.
(Revelation 22:3–5)

Lord God, I look with great anticipation at the promise of Your heavenly kingdom in which there will be no night, no curse, no death, no sickness, no mourning, and no crying. You will make all things new, and we will behold the light and beauty of Your face. I praise You for the hope of heaven and the glories of the age to come. Amen.
