From Handbook to Wisdom, Day 92 (Promises)

God uses our afflictions to create a life message that will serve others.

God comforts us in all our afflictions,
so that we can comfort those in any affliction
with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
(2 Corinthians 1:4)

O God, You have shown me Your tender and severe mercies to train and discipline me in the way of trust, righteousness, and hope so that I will be empowered to minister to others out of my weakness and dependence upon You. May I welcome Your comfort so that I will in turn be able to comfort others. Amen.
