From Simple Prayers, Day 113

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, Your goodness, and Your love, and I now draw near to enjoy Your presence.

You are the living God,
And there is no god besides You.
You put to death and You bring to life,
You have wounded and You will heal,
And no one can deliver from Your hand. (Deuteronomy 32:39)

I will recall to mind the former things, those of long ago;
You are God, and there is no other;
You are God, and there is none like You. (Isaiah 46:9)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is He who will save us. (Isaiah 33:22)

Christ is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy. (Colossians 1:18)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Unless I eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, I have no life in me. Whoever eats Your flesh and drinks Your blood has eternal life, and You will raise him up at the last day. For Your flesh is true food, and Your blood is true drink. Whoever eats Your flesh and drinks Your blood abides in You, and You in him. As the living Father sent You, and You live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on You will live because of You. (John 6:53–57)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

A simple man believes everything, but a prudent man considers his steps. (Proverbs 14:15)

I will not spread false reports, nor will I help a wicked man by being a malicious witness. (Exodus 23:1)

Lord, I thank You that You are my King and that Christ is supreme in all things. I thank You for the body and blood of the Lord Jesus, and I ask that I would carefully consider my steps and not spread malicious reports.
