From Simple Prayers, Day 152

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Jesus said, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” (John 20:21)

Grant that I may be used to open the eyes of others and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Jesus. (Acts 26:18)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6)

The angel said to the shepherds, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:10–11)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I must not receive God’s grace in vain. For He says, “In the acceptable time I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Now is the time of God’s favor; now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:1–2)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Like Noah, I want to be a righteous person, blameless among the people of my time, and one who walks with God. (Genesis 6:9)

Being built up in the most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, I want to keep myself in the love of God as I wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. (Jude, verses 20–21)

Lord, I thank You for the good news that Jesus is the Savior, the way, the truth, and the life. I thank You for the grace of Your salvation, and I ask that I would walk with You and keep myself in Your love.
