Daily Prayer: Day 68

From Simple Prayers, Day 68

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

The Lord has said, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth! God is the King of all the earth, and I will sing His praise. God reigns over the nations; God is seated on His holy throne. (Psalm 47:2, 7–8)

As living stones, we are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that we may declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:5, 9)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I want the Lord to establish my heart as blameless and holy before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. (1 Thessalonians 3:13)

In my faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, I will not show partiality to some people above others. (James 2:1)

Lord, I thank You for Your awesome dominion and for creating a people for Your own possession. I thank You for leading me in Christ’s triumph, and I ask that You would establish my heart as blameless and holy before You.
