Daily Prayer: Day 75

From Simple Prayers

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

Lord, there is no one besides You to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rest in You. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You. (2 Chronicles 14:11)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

You are the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps His covenant of lovingkindness. (Nehemiah 9:32)

Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.” (Matthew 11:25–27; Luke 10:21–22)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

As many as received Christ, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12–13)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult. (Proverbs 12:16)

I will not be quickly provoked in my spirit, for anger rests in the bosom of fools. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Lord, I thank You for Your power and greatness and for revealing Yourself through Your Son. I thank You for giving me the right to become Your child, and I ask that I would practice self-control so that I will not be quickly provoked.
