Daily Prayer: Day 93

From Simple Prayers, Day 93

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of Your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

I confess my iniquity;
I am troubled by my sin.
O Lord, do not forsake me;
O my God, be not far from me!
Make haste to help me,
O Lord my salvation. (Psalm 38:18, 21–22)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

God is the Rock; His work is perfect, for all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness and without injustice, upright and just is He. (Deuteronomy 32:4)

There will be no temple in the new Jerusalem, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city will not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. And its gates will never be shut by day, for there will be no night there. (Revelation 21:22–25)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

God made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself, that in the stewardship of the fullness of the times, He might gather together all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things upon the earth. (Ephesians 1:9–10)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. (Matthew 5:7)

I will not let love and truth leave me; I will bind them around my neck and write them on the tablet of my heart. (Proverbs 3:3)

Lord, I thank You for the justice and perfection of Your work and for Your promise of future glory. I thank You for gathering all things together in Christ, and I ask that I would be merciful, loving, and truthful.
