Daily Prayer: Year 2, Day 137

From Handbook to Prayer

May I have no other gods before You. (Exodus 20:3; Deuteronomy 5:7)

May I not make for myself an idol in any form. (Exodus 20:4; Deuteronomy 5:8)

May I not take the name of the Lord my God in vain, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses His name. (Exodus 20:7; Deuteronomy 5:11)

Pause to add your own prayers for personal renewal.

Hear, O Lord, my voice when I call;
Be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart said of You, “Seek His face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek. (Psalm 27:7–8)
