From Handbook to Prayer

Pause to reflect upon these biblical affirmations.
Blessed is the one You choose and bring near
To live in Your courts.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Of Your holy temple. (Psalm 65:4)

Will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1–2)
Pause to offer your own expressions of thanksgiving.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind toward one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord and one mouth we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5–6)
May the God of peace Himself sanctify us completely, and may our whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls us is faithful, who also will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:23–24)
