Daily Prayer: Year 2, Day 234

From Handbook to Prayer

He who loves his father or mother more than You is not worthy of You; he who loves his son or daughter more than You is not worthy of You. (Matthew 10:37)

He who does not take his cross and follow after You is not worthy of You. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for Your sake will find it. (Matthew 10:38–39)

Pause to reflect upon these biblical affirmations.

In Christ I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on me with all wisdom and understanding. (Ephesians 1:7–8)

God raised me up with Christ and seated me with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward me in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6–7)

Pause to offer your own expressions of thanksgiving.

Closing Prayer

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may observe Your words. (Deuteronomy 29:29)

Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength;
We will sing and praise Your power. (Psalm 21:13)
