Daily Prayer: Year 2, Day 236

From Handbook to Prayer

Let me stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils.
For in what should he be esteemed? (Isaiah 2:22)

May I trust in You enough to honor You as holy in the sight of others. (Numbers 20:12)

Pause to add your own prayers for personal renewal.

Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Give me only my daily bread,
Lest I be full and deny You and say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I become poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God. (Proverbs 30:8–9)

Special concerns

May your love abound more and more in full knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ—having been filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9–11)
