Daily Prayer: Year 2, Day 78

From Handbook to Prayer

AFFIRMATION

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Pause to reflect upon these biblical affirmations.

THANKSGIVING

I do not lose heart; even though my outward man is perishing, yet my inner man is being renewed day by day. For this light affliction which is momentary is working for me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while I do not look at the things which are seen but at the things which are unseen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are unseen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:1618)

Pause to offer your own expressions of thanksgiving.

CLOSING PRAYER

Glory in the holy name of the Lord;
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face always.
Remember the wonderful works He has done,
His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced. (1 Chronicles 16:1012)

The Lord reigns forever;
He has established His throne for judgment.
He will judge the world in righteousness,
And He will govern the peoples with justice.
The Lord will also be a refuge for the oppressed,
A stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know Your name will trust in You,
For You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. (Psalm 9:710)
