Daily Prayer: Year 2, Day 84

From Handbook to Prayer

AFFIRMATION

Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
Who depends on flesh for his strength
And whose heart turns away from the Lord.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
Whose confidence is in Him. (Jeremiah 17:5, 7)

Jesus knew all men, and had no need for anyone’s testimony about man, for He knew what was in man. (John 2:2425)

God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, according to the gospel. (Romans 2:16)

Pause to reflect upon these biblical affirmations.

THANKSGIVING

May I rejoice in the Lord always. (Philippians 4:4)

I have been called by God my Savior, and Christ Jesus is my hope. (1 Timothy 1:1)

CLOSING PRAYER

Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights.
Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts.
Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all you shining stars.
Praise Him, you highest heavens
And you waters above the heavens.
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For He commanded and they were created.
He established them for ever and ever;
He gave a decree that will not pass away. (Psalm 148:16)
