Daily Scripture: Day 28

From Handbook to Scripture

READING: EXODUS 3

Only after an additional 40 years of personal preparation in the wilderness of Midian was Moses ready to become the leader and deliverer the Lord was grooming him to be. His personal encounter with the presence of the living God at the burning bush permanently transformed him and gave him a desire to seek the Lord for the remainder of his days. The great I AM commissioned Moses to represent the children of Israel before Pharaoh and to perform signs and wonders until Pharaoh would finally let the people go.

Prayer: Lord, You are the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the everlasting I AM WHO I AM. I thank You that You stoop to show compassion on Your people and deliver them from their servitude to sin and death.

Meditation passage: verses 6, 14–15
