Daily Scripture: Year 2, Day 163

From Handbook to Renewal

Focus: The Works of God—Redemption

Behold, a virgin shall be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call His name Immanuel, which means, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)

After His baptism and temptation, Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)

The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. (Matthew 9:6)

Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.” He did not come to call the righteous, but sinners. (Matthew 9:12–13)

Where Jesus went, the blind received sight, the lame walked, the lepers were cured, the deaf heard, the dead were raised up, and the good news was preached to the poor. (Matthew 11:5)

Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.” (Matthew 11:25–27; Luke 10:21–22)
