The Attributes of God

Where does wisdom come from? Where does understanding dwell? It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing and concealed from the birds of the air. Destruction and Death say, “Only a rumor of it has reached our ears.” God understands its way, and He knows its place. For He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. (Job 28:2024)

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Or who has first given to Him, that He should repay him? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen. (Romans 11:3336)

The Works of God

Christ was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, but His own did not receive Him. (John 1:1011)

The light has come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever practices the truth comes into the light, so that his deeds may be clearly seen as having been done through God. (John 3:1921)

My Relationship to God

I want to love the Lord my God, obey His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is my life and the length of my days. (Deuteronomy 30:20)

I love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. (Psalm 18:13)

The Character I Want to Cultivate

I will not steal, nor deal falsely, nor deceive others. (Leviticus 19:11)

I will not pervert justice or show partiality. I will not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous. (Deuteronomy 16:19)

My Relationship to Others

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam, so I will stop a quarrel before it breaks out. (Proverbs 17:14)

If it is possible, as far as it depends on me, I will live at peace with all men. (Romans 12:18)
