Ken Boa’s Breakout Sessions
Practicing God’s Presence (Friday, 10/12, 10:00 a.m.)
None of the saints of the past came to enjoy the abiding presence of God in their lives by default, accident, or magic. Yet the record of their inspiring experiences never satisfactorily answer this question: How did they do it? This talk suggests intensely practical ways based on Scripture, historical examples, and discoveries in neuroscience.
The Power of Story: Worldview in Film (Saturday, 10/13, 11:15 a.m.)
Stories can activate our moral imaginations and re-enchant the ordinary world. Movies can move us, motivate us, and confuse us while offering us insights about life and insights about ourselves. This talk explores how film is influenced by worldview and provides a process that you can use to read any film.
