Ken Boa speaks on relationships, starting with our relationship with the living God, during this special study for women at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.
In his weekly adult Sunday school class at Christ Church of Atlanta, Dr. Boa discusses his new book Life in the Presence of God. He explains the motivation behind the book, its relationship (as a sequel) to Rewriting Your Broken Story, and an overview of its content. He also talks about the companion training guide A Guide to Practicing God’s Presence.
Ken Boa introduces this series on seven teaching methods used in the Bible, applicable to us by showing us how to skillfully communicate with others—the key to all good relationships. Here, he covers the first three methods—lectures, stories, and visual aids—and offers examples of how all three approaches are used by Jesus and other biblical figures such as the prophet Nathan.
Gratitude is not meant to be left to spontaneous moments. It’s a choice, not a feeling, and it ages quickly unless we intentionally develop the practice of giving thanks.
