There is something about a good story that grips us and draws us in. It stirs our imaginations. Perhaps this is because it reminds us that we ourselves are part of a greater Story.
Good stories point beyond themselves. Jesus understood this, and so He often spoke in parables to communicate the eternal truths concerning Himself and the Kingdom of God. Through His Word, Jesus now teaches us how to understand our own stories within the context of His Story.
