Daily Prayer Day 114

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness.  I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

When I sin against the Lord, I may be sure that my sin will find me out.  (Numbers 32:23)

Come, let us return to the Lord.
For He has torn us, but He will heal us;
He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds.
After two days He will revive us;
On the third day He will raise us up,
That we may live before Him.  (Hosea 6:1-2)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.  Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble; He knows those who trust in Him.  (Nahum 1:7)

The faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth, which is according to godliness, is a faith and knowledge resting in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time.  At the appointed time, He manifested His word through the preaching entrusted to the apostles by the command of God our Savior.  (Titus 1:1-3)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

You are the true vine, and Your Father is the vinedresser.  He cuts off every branch in You that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.  I will abide in You, and You will abide in me.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can I, unless I abide in You.  (John 15:1-2, 4)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

Houses and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.  (Proverbs 19:14)

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.  (Proverbs 31:30)

Lord, I thank You that You are a refuge in times of trouble and that I have been chosen by You to receive the gift of eternal life in Your Son.  I ask that I would abide in Jesus Christ and that I would walk in prudence and the fear of the Lord.
