Daily Prayer Day 14

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

I will remember the works of the Lord;
Surely, I will remember Your wonders of long ago.
I will meditate on all Your works
And consider all Your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is so great as our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
You have revealed Your strength among the peoples.
You redeemed Your people with Your power,
The descendants of Jacob and Joseph.  (Psalm 77:11-15)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I will express the memory of Your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of Your righteousness.  The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and great in lovingkindness.  The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.  (Psalm 145:7-9)

We will all stand before the judgment seat of God.  For it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me, and every tongue will confess to God."  So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.  (Romans 14:10b-12)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.  He will not allow my foot to slip; He who watches over me will not slumber.  The Lord is my keeper; the Lord is my shade at my right hand.  The sun will not harm me by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord will keep me from all evil; He will preserve my soul.  The Lord will watch over my coming and going from this time forth and forever.   (Psalm 121:1-3, 5-8)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will do no injustice in judgment, nor show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but I will judge my neighbor fairly.  (Leviticus 19:15)

Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy; love does not boast, it is not arrogant, it does not behave rudely; it does not seek its own, it is not provoked, it keeps no record of wrongs; it does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth; it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.  (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Lord, I thank You for Your abundant goodness and for Your righteous judgment.  I thank You for Your protection, and I ask that I would walk in love and justice.
