Daily Prayer Day 140

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
And I will glorify Your name forever.
For great is Your love toward me,
And You have delivered my soul from the depths of the grave.  (Psalm 86:12-13)

Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.  (Psalm 97:12)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Before Abraham was born, Jesus Christ always exists.  (John 8:58)

From Christ’s fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.  For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  (John 1:16-17)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Who shall separate me from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?  As it is written: "For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."  Yet in all these things I am are more than a conqueror through Him who loved me.  (Romans 8:35-37)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will watch and pray so that I will not fall into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.  (Matthew 26:41)

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.  (Proverbs 16:32)

Lord, I thank You that Jesus Christ always exists and that I have received grace from His fullness.  I thank You that nothing can separate me from the love of Christ, and I ask that I would control my spirit and not fall into temptation.
