Daily Prayer Day 208

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

How good and pleasant it is
When brothers live together in unity!  (Psalm 133:1)

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus.  (Galatians 3:28)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

I know that whatever God does will remain forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.  God does it so that men will revere Him.  (Ecclesiastes 3:14)

The Lord gives the sun for light by day, and decrees the moon and stars for light by night; He stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord of hosts is His name.  (Jeremiah 31:35)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Whatever things were written in the past were written for our learning, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.  (Romans 15:4)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I am not trying to win the approval of men, but of God.  If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.  (Galatians 1:10)

I will owe nothing to anyone except to love them, for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.  For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.  (Romans 13:8-10)

Lord, I thank You that Your works endure forever and that You do everything well.  I thank You for the encouragement of the Scriptures, and I ask that I would seek to please You by loving and serving others.
