Daily Prayer Day 209

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

God, I want Your Word to be deeply implanted in me so that I not only know the truth, but also express it in the way I live.

I call this to mind,
And therefore I have hope: 
The Lord’s mercies never cease,
For His compassions never fail. 
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.  (Lamentations 3:21-23)

Take a moment to affirm the truth of these words from Scripture and ask God to make them a growing reality in your life.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching the inward depths of his being.  (Proverbs 20:27)

O Lord, what is man that You know him, or the son of man that You think of him?  Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.  (Psalm 144:3-4)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor have entered the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love Him.  (1 Corinthians 2:9)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

A rebuke goes deeper into a wise man than a hundred lashes into a fool.  (Proverbs 17:10)

Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.  (Proverbs 12:1)

Lord, I thank You that You know me intimately and still care for me.  I thank You for what You are preparing for those who love You, and I ask that I would learn from rebukes and accept correction.
