Daily Prayer Day 215

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

We should bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.  (Galatians 6:2)

As we have opportunity, we should do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of faith.  (Galatians 6:10)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain the Lord.  (2 Chronicles 2:6; 6:18)

It is God the Lord who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and spirit to those who walk on it.  (Isaiah 42:5)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

Blessed be the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has given me new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in heaven for me.  (1 Peter 1:3-4)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

I will beware and be on my guard against all covetousness, for my life does not consist in the abundance of my possessions.  (Luke 12:15)

I want to learn to be content in whatever circumstances I am.  Whether I am abased or in abundance, whether I am filled or hungry, I want to learn the secret of being content in any and every situation.  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.  (Philippians 4:11-13)

Lord, I thank You that the highest heavens cannot contain You and that You are the source of all biological and spiritual life.  I thank You for the inheritance of those who hope in Christ, and I ask that I would beware of covetousness and practice contentment with what You have given me.
