Daily Prayer Day 239

I DRAW NEAR TO YOU, GOD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

The Lord is the true God;
He is the living God and the everlasting King.
At His wrath, the earth trembles,
And the nations cannot endure His indignation.  (Jeremiah 10:10)

How great are God’s signs,
And how mighty are His wonders!
His kingdom is an eternal kingdom;
His dominion endures from generation to generation.  (Daniel 4:3)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

The Lord longs to be gracious and rises to show compassion.  For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him!  (Isaiah 30:18)

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited us and has redeemed His people.  He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David (as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us—to show mercy to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, the oath He swore to our father Abraham, to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.  (Luke 1:68-75)

I LISTEN TO YOUR WORDS OF TRUTH

May the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give me a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the full knowledge of Him, and may the eyes of my heart be enlightened, in order that I may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe.  (Ephesians 1:17-19)

MY RESPONSE TO YOU, LORD

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus.  (Galatians 3:28)

Since we were called into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, all of us should agree with one another, so that there may be no divisions among us, and that we may be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.  (1 Corinthians 1:9-10)

Lord, I thank You that You delight in showing grace and compassion and that You have redeemed Your people through the work of Your Son.  I pray for a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You, and I ask that I would treat others with fairness and dignity.
